  3. Version 1.0 changes are only the version number and icons.

  5. Version 1.0a3 adds mouse click detection and should work on all Backlit
  6. portables.

  9. Backlight Control is a Control Panel which when installed, monitors the mouse
  10. activity, the keyboard activity and the charger status of your PowerBook.  When
  11. the mouse has been idle for a certain amount of time (user specified) and you
  12. are working from the battery the backlight is turned off.  As soon as you move
  13. the mouse, click the mouse, start typing or you plug in your power adapter the
  14. backlight is set back on.

  16. The Control Panel interface allows you to:

  18.     1) Turn on/off the Backlight feature
  19.     2) Select the idle timeout.
  20.     3) Check for a power adapter or not
  21.     4) Monitor the keyboard or not

  23. The original idea is by Owen Rubin.

  25. Backlight Control should work on any PowerBook with backlighting.

  27. This version can be distributed outside Apple.  Bulletin boards and developers
  28. need to contact Apple Software Licensing for distribuition.
